This is a book of poems that celebrate each of my kids’ birthdays, a quarter century of franco-american family history tying our generations together. In essence, I have done this (and still do this) to show them, and you, how quickly time passes, especially when we let it, without grabbing hold of the moment as one might a Polaroid, watching the image of a family develop slowly and surely, while the years pass by imperceptibly, leaving us with these tributes to youth.

Au fond, j’écris ces poèmes pour saisir l’instant, comme on le ferait avec un Polaroïd, regardant lentement se révéler l’image d’une famille tandis que les années passent à notre insu, nous laissant ces hommages à la jeunesse.
